Clinic Information

Equipment:

Rods, reels, and lines are provided. However, if you prefer to use your own, you are more than welcome to bring your personal equipment. Waders and boot are not provided please bring your own. (not necessary for most clinics)

Food and Beverages:

There will be water on site. If you would like to bring snacks that will be your responsibility.

Fee’s:

Upon arrival, a fee of $25 for in town local destinations and $50 for river destinations per person is required, payable in cash only. Please have the exact amount ready to ensure a smooth and timely check-in process.

Transportation:

You are responsible for your own means of transportation, we do not offer rides to any location. If for any reason there is a break down we will do all we can to help you.

Outdoor Addictions reserves the right to ask any person to leave the clinic immediately if they fail to follow established safety rules. Your safety and the safety of others is our top priority, and adherence to these guidelines ensures a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. Non-compliance with safety protocols will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the facility without refund.

A waiver will also be required to be signed before participating.

Fly Fishing Casts:

  • Roll Cast: A foundational cast for tight spaces and small stream fishing. 

  • Water Haul Cast: Uses the surface tension of the water to help propel the line forward. 

  • Tuck Cast: Aims to land the fly with a tight loop and minimal slack. 

  • Sidearm Cast: Useful for avoiding obstacles or casting in windy conditions. 

  • Double-Haul: An advanced technique to increase distance and line speed. 

  • Immediate Mend Cast: Aims to reposition the line in the air to create a drag-free drift. 

  • Reach Cast: Another technique for creating a drag-free drift by repositioning the line in the air. 

  • Backhand Cast: Used to avoid obstructions on the casting hand's side. 

  • Underhand Oval/Belgium Cast: Used for reaching under low, overhanging trees.
